Athletic Triumphs:

Culbreath’s prowess on the track began early in his life. In 1951, he claimed the Pennsylvania State High Championship in the 200 Yard Low Hurdles, quickly rising to the second rank in the USA. This was just the beginning of a series of victories, as he went on to become a three-time national AAU Champion and Record Holder in the 440-yard hurdles from 1953 to 1955. His dominance extended to the Penn Relays, where he secured three championships in the 400-Meter Hurdles and earned a spot on the University of Pennsylvania’s Wall of Fame in 1994.
